Group Training

With LiquiTech’s group training sessions, you can enhance your team’s knowledge, boost your water management practices, and earn continuing education credits, if applicable.

Request one of our topics below or submit a request for a custom topic. For those interested, continuing education credits are available but are not mandatory to request or participate in a training. The content is valuable to anyone interested or involved with infection prevention, building water systems, or water safety.

Topics

Copper-Silver Ionization 101 for Infection Preventionists
Attendees will learn about the history, effectiveness, and impact of copper-silver ionization on drinking water and building water systems. We’ll also discuss waterborne pathogens, their impact on healthcare, and copper-silver ionization’s effectiveness in controlling them.

Plumbing 101 for Infection Preventionists
Attendees will learn the importance of plumbing in infection prevention and patient safety, what plumbing equipment is commonly associated with infection outbreaks, and common plumbing-related challenges that contribute to infection risks. We’ll also examine the relationships between plumbing and the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and briefly discuss the role of water management plans and infection prevention strategies.

Plumbing 201 for Infection Preventionists
Attendees will learn how the design and selection of plumbing materials can increase the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and plumbing maintenance practices that can help reduce this risk. We’ll also explore the challenges associated with biofilm in healthcare plumbing and drains, and share effective methods for managing and controlling it.

Custom training
If you are interested in a group training on a topic not listed above, you can submit a request for a custom training. Include the topic you want to learn about, and our team will review your request to determine if we can develop a custom training session to accommodate it.

Continuing education

These programs award 1.0 contact hour of continuing nursing education credits. Participants do not need to be a nurse to participate in these trainings. The content is valuable to anyone involved with or interested in infection prevention initiatives.

Topics

Copper-Silver Ionization 101
Attendees will learn about the history, effectiveness, and impact of copper-silver ionization on drinking water and building water systems. We’ll also discuss how it fits into water management programs and the crucial maintenance requirements to optimize system performance.

Impact of Sediment on Plumbing Infrastructure
Attendees will learn about the impacts of sediment on plumbing infrastructure, water-bearing equipment, and waterborne pathogens. They will also discover different methods for controlling sediment and how they fit into a building’s water treatment and management strategy. Case studies showcasing the real-world benefits of sediment filtration will be featured.

Legionella and Waterborne Pathogens in Building Water Systems
Attendees will learn what Legionella and other waterborne pathogens are, how they get into building water systems, and their impact on water quality. They will also discover what factors in a building water system can increase Legionella and waterborne pathogen risk and the different methods for reducing it. Benefits beyond reduced risk, such as energy savings, reduction of corrosion-causing organisms, and more, will be discussed.

Plumbing System Design and Water Safety
Attendees will learn how plumbing infrastructure, system design, and equipment factors can contribute to Legionella and waterborne pathogen growth. They will also discover different design methodologies to reduce risks, including impacts on plumbing systems. Supplemental water disinfection technologies, ASHRAE 188, and how plumbing engineers can incorporate water management programs into plumbing system designs will be discussed.

Custom training
If you are interested in a group training on a topic not listed above, you can submit a request for a custom training. Include the topic you want to learn about, and our team will review your request to determine if we can accommodate it. If we can, we will develop a custom training session for you.
